Me and my friends are looking for new spots we can hang out. Where we can come in the morning for our coffee, get lunch or end the night with a cocktail. The centre city of Breda is ruined. Myself, I live in the centre and more and more boutiques, shops and even my local greengrocery is gone. The mall is empty. Breda used to be a very nice shoppping city but now, when you had the H&M and the Zara actually you are done. Or you have to go to het Ginneken what is 10 minutes away from the centre. It is such a shame for such an beautiful city. Now I saw and read something about Boxpark.

BOXPARK is a temporary mall of less than 61 small units. The concept was developed by Roger Wade Boxfresh and consultancy Brands Incorporated. Wade grabs Boxpark with Hammerson and Ballymore, two leading British property developers. Their idea was to shipping containers in order to create units for fashion, art and lifestyle. On the ground floor the stores would come; the first floor to be a relax place. Boxpark focuses on small innovative brands which most providers can not afford the top locations. A revolutionary mix of products, find a thorough selection rather than entrepreneurs. They can get by invitation only one place. The aim is thus to create a living, fertile and creative concept full of talent and innovation. In addition to the innovative concept, the low rent and flexible terms will determine the success of the concept. London was chosen as a location place, since it is the creative center of the world.
The modern consument is constantly looking for new stores and experiences but also everything at one place. However, a lot of people see it as an even greater threat to the increasingly empty buildings. Maybe this is just a solution and more people living in the city, live and work as we create more of these places.
