Like I said in an other post, we want a moment to remember when we go on vacation. We want something special. But how do we get it? Well I find some solutions :
Google Maps shows you unique locations in the Netherlands.
Actually I think this is a sign of how lazy we have become. Do we need to do our cultural explorations even virtual like the information we look up? What happened to the real experience, authenticity, experiencing and feeling the environment.
Cherry Picker.
When we go to an other country we do not do this just for ourself. We want to be a part of the locals looking for authentic experiences en the expertise of the people. Cherry pickers matches people with the locals who get for a small amount food and housing.
As a lifestyle professional I can match different sectors to this. Leisure, Human movement and living are important in this development. How do we create the perfect route threw a city? It is always nice if you can choose the one who is leading you it makes the trip so much more comfortable. But now let me think, how would I want to be guided threw a city?
If I look at myself, I would like it to do on a local transport with people who like the things that matches mine. So The Google local guides possibility looks for me the best solution, I can choose my one guide.
For a project I am doing now for a part of the Netherlands called Limburg me and my group developed a concept based on a app or a map. People can choose by themselves. On the map the city is fun illustrated with different kind of layers you can choose to your interests and put them on the map so you can see your route. On the route we also put breakfast, lunch and even dinner as a must-do or must-see for the people who visit the city. This can create collaboration between different companies in the city and improve the cultural appreciation of a city. This concept is available and suitable for any target group.
